The Log Cabin
Company is committed to protecting the environment. We make sure that all the
timber used in the manufacturing of our buildings comes from sustaintable
sources. Which means that more trees are planted then felled.
Our wood, as well as being a natural material takes no energy other that what
nature has provided to produce. Even in the log manufacturing process, energy
can be produced by waste wood from the production process, so no ecologically
controversial energy, such as fossil fuels or nuclear power is required. Wood
is very healthy and hygienic building material. In contract to other builing
materials, wood breathes. This means that air can diffuse in both directions,
which creates a constant renewal of air molecules inside the building.
This also creates an even and constant warmth throughout the home. Which in turn
adds to a comfortable and pleasant living invironment. Another quality of the
log wall is that humidity is regulated by absorbing moisture and then
discharging it when the outside conditions change.
This means that there is no build up of statis electricity. So no duct is
whirled around the rooms. Which is very benificial to everyone, especially
those who suffer from allergies.
